Boston Fire Department Hosting Health and Safety Symposium

The Boston Fire Department, in conjunction with the International Association of Fire Fighters and Local 718, is hosting a two-day symposium May 19-20 to address occupational health and safety issues in the fire service.

The A. Michael Mullane Health and Safety Symposium provides the knowledge and tools necessary to keep firefighters and paramedics safe, now and in the future. The conference features workshops on key health and safety topics as well as networking opportunities.

Sessions include:

  • Advancing Health and Safety Initiatives through Labor/Management Cooperation
  • Cancer Awareness and Prevention
  • Heart Disease in the Fire Service
  • Fire Department Behavioral Health Services
